Sony Accompanies PS4 with Second-Screen App

Sony has unveiled a second-screen iOS and Android app to support its PlayStation 4 console.
The announcement came during Sonys PS4 press conference last night in New York – which, as any game and gadget aficionados probably already know, failed to reveal much about the anticipated console itself.
However, it did introduce the PlayStation App, which will work alongside the console in a way similar to Microsofts SmartGlass app for the Xbox 360, but with a wider range of features. 
The app can be used to view extra information while playing a game – such as maps or menu screens – but also to purchase PS4 games to be downloaded directly to the console, and to stream video footage of other gamers playing PS4 games.
