Music recognition app SoundHound has broken 80m users on Android and iOS, just as it releases its version 5.0 update. The update introduces a redesigned user interface and homescreen layout, as well as integrated album art and high-resolution photos of artists. The update also introduces a song streaming feature which enables users to listen to singles for free.
“SoundHound is 80m users strong,” says SoundHound’s vice president of products, James Hom. “Version 5.0 delivers an abundance of rich content and a beautiful and engaging user experience, showing why SoundHound is the most utilised mobile music search, discovery and sharing service in the world. We think our fans are going to love this update.”
