SPB TV Comes to the iPad

SPB Software has updated its flagship SPB TV app for the iPhone, and announced native iPad support for the application. SPB TV already works on all existing 3G smartphones and this month, reached the 2m users milestone. It offers easy access to over 150 TV channels in more than 20 languages, with the number of channels growing constantly.

SPB says it aims to provide its users with the widest choice of relevant content, and has recently formed a partnership with Euronews, the most watched international news channel in Europe, covering world news from a European perspective.

V2.5 of SPB TB for the iPhone and iPad offers picture-in-picture channel preview; an integrated TV guide; fast channel launch and switching; and a choice of over 150 channels from 17 countries.

The app is available as a free download from the iTunes store and there is no monthly subscription fee. SPB TV is ad-supported, with an ad shown while the stream is buffering when the user opens a channel.
