SPB Software has launched SPB Mobile Shell 3.7 for Symbian, an updated version of its SPB Mobile Shell for Symbian 3D mobile user interface, which was released earlier this year, writes Martin Conway. The upgrade provides support for a larger range of Symbian 3 devices both existing and forthcoming, such as the Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01.

Upgraded with previous customer feedback in mind, version 3.7 of Mobile Shell incorporates full-screen view, and has a revamped contact dialogue function to make it quicker and easier to locate contacts. Nokia users can also access Nokia home screen widgets to access their favourite programmes and services directly from the home screen. SPB Mobile Shell 3.7 is currently retailing for $29.95 (£19). There’s also a 15-day free trial version that can be downloaded from the SPB website.

“Unlike the recently-released SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 version for mobile operators and manufacturers, SPB Mobile Shell 3.7 becomes the update of the version for end users,” says SPB CEO, Sebastian-Justus Schmidt. “Now N8 owners can also enjoy the most convenient, fast and easy to manipulate user interface, with great personalisation opportunities.”
