SPB Software has released released SPB TV for iPhone, a freeware mobile IPTV viewer with TV-like usability, created for tuning in to publicly-available digital TV channels from all over the world, via the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. SPB TV for iPhone is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices with firmware version 3.0 and above.
SPB TV for iPhone presents exclusive and patent-pending usability innovations and gives the mobile subscribers easy access to over 120 TV channels in more than 20 languages. It includes a TV browser with quick channel previews, an instantly-accessible TV guide for all offered channels, and quick channel switching.
With the arrival of SPB TV for iPhone, SPB Software has expanded the list of supported platforms – which already includes Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Symbian – while at the same time launching a new line of TV 2.0 apps, which are free-of-charge, no-subscription programmes, supported by advertising revenues. The company says that ads in SPB TV 2.0 are unobtrusive, lasting only the amount of time necessary to buffer the stream when starting a channel.
