Sponge Makes Growth List

Mobile agency Sponge has made Media Momentums list of the Top 50 fastest-growing UK new media companies for the third year running.
Media Momentum, run by technology investment bank GP Bullhound, is an annual event which recognises the achievements of the most innovative and fastest-growing digital media companies in the UK. The initiative is supported by media partners The Independent and industry trade magazine New Media Age, and backed by sponsors Barclays, Olswang and Sky Media.
The awards were announced in London last week, with Sponge ranked at number 21. The company, which creates mobile marketing campaigns for brands including Coca-Cola, Unilever and Walkers, recorded a compound annual growth rate of 354% over a two-year period.
We are delighted to be recognised for our achievements, says Sponge co-founder Alex Meisl. It is a reflection on the great team we have created and the quality and breadth of our client base which has grown as quickly as our revenues. Sponge has some exciting developments and client campaigns planned for 2007, which will be announced over the coming months.
