Digital marketing and sports media agency Sports Revolution has released a free app for visitors to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, aimed at delivering a seamless user experience for people taking advantage of the legacy of the 2012 London Olympics.

Since fully opening in April 2014, the Park has attracted millions of visitors, and the Smart Park app has been designed to further enhance the experience for users, enabling them to explore the rich variety of activities and environments available, with location features ensuring that they are informed about nearby walks, tours and attractions.

The app, created in collaboration with app developers Pocket App, is designed to organically develop with the park, intuitively learning what visitors expect and why they are visiting, so users are always served the most relevant messaging. The app will also act as a tool to drive return visits by promoting upcoming attracts and events.

“Sports Revolution and Pocket App were our first choice to deliver this project,” said Ben Edmonds, IT programme & change manager for the London Legacy Development Corporation. “Together they have the experience in delivering the necessary technology and ensuring that the app enhances visits to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. With over 8m people from all over the world already having visited this unique location and many more visitors, residents and workers who will make use of the park in the future, we hope that our app will be helpful to them and will make their day even more enjoyable.”

“We have been thrilled to work with the London Legacy Development Corporation to deliver a state of the art app for visitors to an iconic London venues,” said Kelly Williams, managing director of Sports Revolution. “Much of our work is geared towards enhancing experience through powerful content and relevant information, delivered directly to the user. This will play a big role in enhancing the park experience as visitor numbers grow during the coming year.”
