Spotify has marked World Mental Health Day on October 10th with the launch of its latest mental health campaign, Take A Beat.
The global initiative, which will span over 20 markets including the UK and US, aims to harness the power of nature’s sounds to support mental well-being.
As part of the campaign, Spotify has created a dedicated hub on its platform, offering users access to a variety of nature sounds, designed to help improve mental health. Recognising the strong link between natural sounds and emotional balance, the platform’s goal is to make these healing elements easily accessible to its audience worldwide.
The campaign’s centerpiece is a hero film featuring London rapper and zoologist Louis VI, known for his work in climate activism. In the film, Louis VI takes viewers on a journey through a local nature spot, exploring the therapeutic impact of natural sounds and collaborating with mental health experts to highlight their benefits.
In addition to the hero film and platform hub, Spotify’s Take A Beat will include out-of-home (OOH) activations and social media efforts across both organic and paid channels.
The campaign also reinforces Spotify’s ongoing commitment to mental well-being, using music and audio to foster connection, relaxation, and healing for its global audience.
