Spotify Partners with Movistar for Subscriber Discount

Spotify has signed a deal with Movistar, the Spanish MNO owned by Telefónica, to offer the operators subscribers a discounted Spotify Premium account, cut from €9.99 a month to €4.99.
This isnt the first time Spotify has partnered with an operator in this way – it partnered with Orange in Switzerland to offer a similar value-add back in January.
In other Spotify news, it yesterday announced it would be ending the five-play limit which UK non-paying users have faced on each song – arguably making Premium a slightly less valuable service, but also potentially attracting more users to the free, ad-driven version of the service.
