Spotlight: MadeForMums and Heinz Weaning App Campaign

The MadeForMums parenting website has teamed up with Heinz to launch a co-branded weaning advice app for mums (and dads?!).

The free Baby Weaning app, launched initially on iOS, is an approachable, comprehensive and sleek tool for parents looking for inspiration and help around what to feed their baby.

The app offers parents 193 menu options and there is a one-click function to add the ingredients to a shopping list, which is accessible offline. Users can plan meals ahead and monitor their baby’s weekly progress. While the Heinz branding is pretty subtle throughout, it will not doubt leave them front of mind when there isn’t time to cook. 

Heinz launched its own Baby Club in 2010, represented in the app, where they offer feeding advice, news on product launches and even a weaning helpline. 

Mums are among the fastest adopters of mobile tech as it becomes the remote control for their busy lives. Parenting platform BabyCentre revealed in a survey of mums back in January that 72 per cent in the UK owns a smartphone – higher than anywhere else in the world.
