Sprint and Manage Mobility have launched a cloud-based mobile learning programme for primary and secondary school students in the US.
The Wireless Campus Manager infrastructure enables schools to manage wireless costs, procure mobile kit, track and secure mobile devices, provide safe internet access and offer a learning portal for teachers and students. This is being offered as part of Sprint’s Mobile Learning 3G/4G data plans for education.
“Working with Manage Mobility to offer this bundled mobile learning solution will bring tremendous value to our mobile learning customers,” said John Dupree, senior vice president, Sprint business sales. “It simplifies the implementation and management of mobile learning and brings all the services needed to provide an affordable, consistent mobile learning experience to engage their students in learning, collaboration and overall success.”
About a third of Americans – 100m people – do not have broadband at home, but digital learning is increasingly being adopted in the classroom.
