Stonham Takes Miyowa Marketing Role

Mobile Instant Messaging (IM) company Miyowa has appointed Scott Stonham as Vice President of Product Marketing. A seasoned technology marketing professional, Stonham has held various positions at major companies including Vodafone and Qualcomm Europe.
Stonham joins Miyowa from Openwave Systems where, as Marketing Director, he was primarily responsible for defining and driving the companys strategies for location-based services (LBS) in EMEA and the global strategy for mobile advertising. 
Prior to this, Stonham held the position of Senior Marketing Manager at Qualcomm Europe, working with mobile carriers including Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Telefonica, SFR, O2, Telecom Italia, H3G and WIND. Stonham led the market insertion and business development activities for Qualcomms gpsOne Assisted-GPS product line in EMEA. He was responsible for positioning Qualcomm as a leader in location technologies and driving the mobile adoption of GPS and Assisted-GPS.
Scotts broad technical background, extensive mobile experience and marketing talent, makes him the ideal choice for Miyowa, says Miyowa CEO, Pascal Lorne.
