StrikeAd Hires Two

StrikeAd, which claims to be the World’s first global mobile Demand Side Platform (DSP) has bolstered its executive team with two key hires, having secured its first round of financing from eValue last month.

Paul Gubbins joins the executive team as sales director. Gubbins has over 10 years’ commercial experience working in senior sales roles for some of the biggest media owners in the UK. Prior to joining StrikeAd, he was brand sales manager at Unanimis, where he saw the company through its sale to Orange/France telecom.

“Paul brings a unique insight to StrikeAd because of his unparalleled agency sales experience and relationships,” says StrikeAd CEO, Alex Rahaman. “He has sold media at every touchpoint, from consumer and trade press advertising sales through to national, mobile, digital and DOOH.”

The other new addition to the StrikeAd team is Michael Dewhirst, who joins as CTO. Dewhirst has driven the mobile and digital development of companies including British Aerospace, M&C Saatchi, Deutschebank and JP Morgan, culminating in working on the launch of Vodafone Live! Most recently, he was the was CTO of The Digital Property Group, driving the development of several new versions of the Findaproperty.com, Primelocation.com and Globrix.com portals and delivering an Augmented Reality property search mobile app. At StrikeAd, Dewhirst is responsible for global technical strategy and driving the development of StrikeAd’s proprietary mobile DSP solution.
