SugarCRM Ramps Up Mobile Support

SugarCRM, a US customer relationship management software company, has added new mobile offerings to its Sugar 6 product.

The software now offers Android, BlackBerry, and native iPad support. It also allows for offline synchronisation and a HTML5-based charting engine. The iPad version puts the devices larger screen to better use, and allows users to use the iPad as a tool for sales, marketing and technical support, says the company.

The iPhone was already supported by the software, and the Sugar Mobile app for Android and Blackberry includes the same mobile CRM features available in the existing iPhone app. This includes access to core Sugar modules, as well as customisation capabilities to make purpose-built mobile applications for field agents and other members of the workforce.

“Todays CRM user lives in an always-on world, and we strive to meet the needs of todays connected worker,” says Clint Oram, co-founder and CTO of SugarCRM. “Support for leading mobile platforms like Android simply gives our customer the choice and control over their CRM deployments that they have come to expect from SugarCRM.”
