Sybase is to launch a hosted analytics solution for mobile operators in Q1 2010. Sybase says the solution will provide operators with improved quality of service and greater insight into their off-network messaging traffic, and enable them to better execute revenue generating activities around these trends. It will leverage the latest version of Sybases column-based analytics server, Sybase IQ 15.1, and its global mobile messaging reach
As mobile messaging revenues continue to soar, Sybase says its latest offering will enable operators to strengthen quality of service through predictive analysis by quickly identifying and resolving network issues to drive higher quality service, and better predict messaging trends to improve network planning. The turnkey service will require no capital expense and has a much lower cost than an on-premise solution, with unparalleled features and performance, the company says.
With more than 1 billion messages delivered every day on Sybases global messaging platform, mobile operators have a wealth of data at their fingertips, but previously had limited capability to convert that data into meaningful information for their business, says Gary Kovacs, Senior Vice President, Markets, Solutions and Products at Sybase. Sybase is in a unique position to create new business opportunities by pairing its expertise in data analytics and messaging technology to develop unique solutions that can drive real returns for our mobile services customers.
