Synchronica Expands Further in Latin America

Mobile messaging solutions company Synchronica has signed an expansion order that takes the company into its second operator group in Latin America.

The group-wide contract will see Synchronicas Mobile Gateway 6 deployed across all Latin American subsidiaries for this “tier 1” operator group.

Synchronica says its contracts with operators in Latin America cover more than nine out of every 10 mobile users in Mexico and Argentina and five out of every 10 mobile users in Brazil.

Mobile Gateway 6 supports any mobile phone, and provides push email, synchronisation, instant messaging, and social networking. Mobile Gateway will enable the groups consumer, prosumer and business subscribers to enjoy advanced messaging without needing to upgrade or replace their existing mobile handsets.

Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica, says: “This is the second contract expansion signed with a multi-national operator group in Latin America. It demonstrates Synchronica¹s ability to provide additional services to customers gained via the acquisition of Colbrias IM business in 2010 and increase the revenue generated from these contracts. We are confident that the addition of push email and synchronisation to the operator groups messaging portfolio will enrich the product offering and we look forward to a successful roll-out.”
