Messaging solutions company Synchronica has announced a contract win with a device manufacturer targeting the Indian market.
The company says that the purchase order for its Synchronica Mobile Gateway is valued at $1.4m (£860,000). It is the third deal with players in the Indian market, which are bundling Mobile Gateway with handsets to provide push email, IM and social networking solutions to its subscribers.
The company says the deal was won in partnership with a VAS reseller based in India.
Synchronica CEO Carsten Brinkschulte says: “This is a key contract win in what may soon become the most important mobile market globally. It again demonstrates the relevance of Synchronicas products in fast-growing, highly competitive markets.
“Mobile Gateway allows device manufacturers to connect their customers to existing internet communities, adding smartphone-like messaging services to mass market phones – at a fraction of the cost.”
