Synchronica Expands in Latin America

Mobile messaging service company Synchronica has signed a deal with an un-named multinational mobile operating group which will see the company expand its push email and mobile IM services into the Latin American market. The deal was helped by Synchronicas acquisition of Colibrias IMPS Instant Messaging business in April 2010.

Synchronicas service is scheduled to be deployed across all of the groups subsidiaries in Latin America, and will give subscribers a branded email address, and also allow them to sync with accounts from Yahoo! and Hotmail, as well as enterprise email systems such as Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino.

Synchronica CEO Carsten Brinkschulte says: “This contract expansion illustrates perfectly how Synchronica can provide complementary services to existing customers, and in turn benefit from increased commercial value. We are confident that the addition of push email and synchronisation to the groups messaging portfolio will help to increase overall revenues, while also acting as a strong churn inhibitor.”
