Synchronica SimpleMail Honoured

Synchronica plc, which provides mobile email and synchronization solutions, has been awarded the European Seal of e-Excellence at CeBIT for the third year in a row. The jury, comprising representatives from the European Multimedia Forum (EMF), awarded Synchronica a Silver Seal of e-Excellence for the companys Synchronica SimpleMail mobile email solution. The European Seal of e-Excellence rewards ICT and digital media companies that have demonstrated an excellent track record in product or service innovation and marketing.
Synchronica SimpleMail pushes emails to virtually any mobile device on the market. It supports email-to-SMS and email-to-MMS gateways and push-to-WAP/XHTML browser access, making it ideal for entry-level phones.
Users of entry-level handsets send and receive emails as a standard SMS or MMS; their replies are then converted back to email. SimpleMail also includes a document transcoding gateway, which allows a variety of attachments, such as Word, PowerPoint, and PDF documents, to be displayed on mass market phones.
This gateway also optimizes images for display on a mobile phone, thereby reducing bandwidth requirements. Users can sign up for the service from their mobile phones rather than having to do so from a PC. This is a major advantage, says Synchronica, particularly in emerging markets where PC and broadband penetration is low.
Worldwide, there are more than four billion mobile phone users and more than two billion mailboxes, says Synchronica Chief Marketing Officer, Nicole Meissner. Our mobile email solution works on anything from smartphones right through to feature phones and entry-level devices devices. Recognition from the EMF for the third year in a row is testimony to our leading edge products and innovative marketing strategies.
