T-Mobile to the MAX

AIM-listed Felix Group plc has agreed a deal to install its MAX BOX kiosks in a number of T-Mobile stores across the UK.
The five-month pilot will see the company install MAX BOX digital kiosks in 18 high street stores across the country, including Princes Street in Edinburgh, Argyle Street in Glasgow and Market Street in Manchester.
T-Mobile stores currently offer T-Mobile network users top-up facilities, but MAX BOX will enable the company to service customers on other networks. The kiosks will also feature services never seen before in a high street mobile network store, including digital photo printing, where customers can Bluetooth images from their phone to the kiosk for instant prints on paper and other merchandise.
As well as boosting in-store revenue for T-Mobile, the MAX BOX kiosk, which also allows consumers to order flowers, play games and download mobile data, helps increase store dwell-time to enable more opportunities for the company to sell other products. Felix Group says it plans to use the kiosks to run Bluetooth marketing
campaigns in store to attract customers using other networks into the store
to use the new top-up facilities.
We are delighted to be working alongside such a major player in the global mobile phone market, says Felix Group CEO, Andy Egan. MAX BOX will help reduce queuing time for in-store customers and also provide an opportunity for T-Mobile to cross-sell other products to users of other networks, because it allows customers to top-up on all UK phone networks. These extra consumer services will really add value to the in-store experience for T-Mobile customers.”
T-Mobile Services Product Manager Manish Bharath adds:
We are looking forward to working with MAX BOX and we are always keen to offer our customers more services to enhance their in-store experience. We see MAX BOX as a major queue-buster because customers will now be able to top up their mobiles at a kiosk for the first time and remove the need to queue at the till for top-up.”
