Tablet Commerce to Triple in the UK

Tablets will account for 10.4 per cent of all eCommerce transactions in the UK this year, with sales exceeding those made on smartphones for the first time.
eMarketer has revised its earlier forecast, anticipating even greater growth in tablet shopping, which it now says will make up 58 per cent of mobile transactions in 2013. Tablets will take £4.74bn of the total £8.17bn spent on mobile this year, triple the figure seen in 2012, but are expected to account for nearly 75 per cent of mobile sales by 2017, or £17.88bn. 
Sales made using smartphones and tablets combined will make up 18 per cent of all eCommerce transactions this year.
