Tablet Owners Getting More Willing to Buy Media?

62 per cent of Tablet owners in the US have paid for downloaded music to consume on the device, according to insights firm Nielsen. 58 per cent, meawhile, have paid for books – and 51 per cent for films – to download and view on their Tablet.

The figures suggest that, for all the free content available online, Tablet users arent opposed to paying for the media they really want. Good news for mCommerce retailers, of all shapes and sizes.

The research also turned its eye to Europe, surveying Tablets users in the UK, Germany and – proving most willing to pay for Tablet media – Italy. The US is still most willing to pay for all categories of media, with the exception of news, the top category in Europe. 44 per cent in Italy, 19 per cent in the UK, and 15 per cent in Germany say they have paid for news content on their Tablet.
