Managed mobile advertising DSP (Demand Side Platform), Tamome, has has opened a London office. The company started up in February 2012, and is now seven-strong.

CEO Christian Louca told Mobile Marketing that the company had focused its business on being profitable rather than chasing VC funding. “Our goal was to get this business off the ground with as little investment as possible , and we have managed to achieve that,” he said. “We were profitable within eight months of trading our first mobile advertising campaigns back in September 2012 for the likes of Vodafone and Coastal INC.”

Since then, Tamome has added MTN, Dell, Apple, Samsung, HTC, Daily Mail, Groupon and Range Rover to its advertiser client list, and is due to announce a number of senior hires.

“Our product offering, programmatic advertising technology, has been well received in the market and fills a gap,” said Louca. “We continue to use our mobile-first approach and deep knowledge base in this area to grow the business.”
