Tanla Mobile has announced a partnership with VoIP company Skype that will see Tanla use its mobile messaging delivery platform to connect to Skype SMS, to enable consumers to use their Skype credit to send text messages from their computer to mobile phones around the world.

Skype SMS is a quick and cheap way to get in instant touch with family, friends and colleagues anywhere in the world when they are offline or on the move. Tanla Mobile is the latest addition to the group of Skypes carrier partners that help provide the bridge between Skype users at their PCs and mobile phone users.
