Tastecard has launched a mobile site for its bargain hunting card holders for while theyre out and about.
The site enables its users to search for places nearby using their phones GPS and filter by restaurant type, different offers, number of people and availability. By default the search will be filtered by distance from your location. Each listing has further informtion attached, including phone numbers, address and directions using Google maps.
Users can also buy a Tastecard directly from the site for themselves or a friend, take advantage of a free 30-day trial or try tastecard for seven days.
The site looks nice on the Sony Xperia T but it doesnt appear to be working on the Samsung S2 – including a badly formatted static screen trying to persuade me to get the app. Understandable teething problems but not great news for owners of one of the UKs most popular handsets.
