TBS Ties Up with Mint for Mobile Payment Solution

TBS Enterprise Mobility has integrated its TaskMaster platform with Mint Enterprise, a payment solution produced by Mint Wireless. The integration enables chip and PIN, and debit card payments to be taken by field workers on their mobile device.

Mint Enterprise is a payment solution designed to integrate the Mint Managed Payment service with mobile business applications on mobile devices to enable the processing of global transactions.

TBS Enterprise Mobility produces the TaskMaster workforce management platform, designed to eliminate costs and inefficiencies, and drive consistent adherence to business processes. Used by tens of thousands of field workers around the world, TaskMaster is depended upon for the exchange of task-based information between office systems and field workers’ devices.

Businesses such as Balfour Beatty, G4S and Taylor Woodrow FM have achieved significant benefits, efficiencies and improved levels of service performance using the solution. TBS says the addition of a mobile payment mechanism creates new opportunities for TaskMaster users operating in the field.

“We’ve had customer demand for a payment service like this, so we’re delighted to be partnering with Mint on a significant enhancement to TaskMaster,” says TBS managing director, Steve Reynolds. “It gives field workers unrivalled payment flexibility. An unscheduled maintenance job could be completed and paid for at the same time as a scheduled job, with no need for an additional visit or extra processing of paperwork.”

Cameron Olsen, CEO of Payment Solutions for Mint Wireless adds: “We are delighted to be partnering with TBS, as we recognise that they are a key player in the enterprise mobility space, supporting tens of thousands of mobile devices in the field and being one of only seven Premier Independent Software Vendors for Motorola. This is just one of the many accolades they have earned over the years. Our solutions will work seamlessly in providing field workers with improved payment collection processes.”

An agreement between Mint and Motorola enabled the supply of Motorola PartnerSelect members with the payment service via existing Motorola hardware and its “snap on” payment device. The Mint client has been designed to integrate with the Motorola ISV and Solution Partners’ existing Windows Mobile solutions, ensuring close integration with business processes, and easy adoption by the end-user.
