TechFaith to Use Red Bend Software in China

Chinese wireless communications firm TechFaith is to deploy Red Bend Softwares technology in its devices.
Mobile software management firm Red Bend Software says TechFaith has licensed its vRapid Mobile firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updating solution and vDirect Mobile device management software for use in mobile phones and other connected devices running on Qualcomms AMSS and Brew MP platforms.
TechFaith has so far shipped five Red Bend-Enabled Qualcomm smartphones – the aigo a700, QIGI WG1, WG TWIN, WG-Ginny and WG-Scepter. All are 3G WCDMA customised dual-mode/SIM handsets developed for China Unicom, one of the countrys three largest mobile network operators.
