TekTrak Tracking Launches for Android Samsungs

TekTrak, the mobile tracking and security app for smartphones, has launched for Samsung phones running Android. It is available on the Samsung Apps app store.

The app allows users to locate their phone when they cant find it, and also protect the information on it should their phone be lost.

The app is free, with a feature upgrade available. The free version offers unlimited use of location tracking functions, and displays the location of the users phone on a browser-based map in real time. It also allows you to see the location history of a phone remotely, and set off the ringer.

For an annual fee of $4.99 (£3.13), users get a number of advanced features of the app. You can remotely lock and unlock the handset, send text messages, activate wi-fi, and wipe data from the phone – all remotely.

“Were excited to have Samsung Apps offer our app to its large base of global customers,” says TekTrak CEO, Arik Waldman. “As smartphone technology continues to evolve, and more and more people use their phones to store personal information, such as banking and emails, this is a vital app to have if you happen to lose or misplace your phone. Our Android application offers a top-notch user experience.”

The app can be purchased now from Samsung Apps – a US launch of this store is due later this year, but the rest of us can get it now.
