Comverse has announced that TELE2 Russia has selected the Comverse Multimedia Messaging Center (MMSC) and Mobile Internet Gateway (MIG) to optimise the messaging and browsing experience for its 10 million subscribers.
Comverse MMSC enriches services such as messaging, system alerts and mobile advertising with multimedia content, regardless of the users handset and network. Comverse MIG, says Comverse, delivers a superior mobile Internet experience that makes browsing fast and attractive on every handset.
TELE2 Russia selected Comverse MMSC and MIG to help keep pace with the evolving needs and preferences of its subscribers, with special focus on rapidly developing areas such as user-generated content, social networks, mobile Internet browsing and mobile advertising. The operators pan-European parent company, TELE2, selected the same services last year in 10 other European countries.
Comverse has deployed MMSC solutions in more than 70 networks around the world. Comverse MIG manages and enhances the mobile browsing experience for more than 60 operators worldwide. As the core element in a smart-pipe strategy, says Comverse, MIG enables operators to strengthen their position as data service providers, enhancing the browsing experience, boosting usage, and creating new revenue streams. Both MMSC and MIG are part of the Comverse HUB of value-added services that spans voice, messaging, mobile Internet and mobile advertising.
