TestPlant and GameBench Join Forces for App UX Testing Solution

UX testing firms TestPlant and GameBench have collaborated on a new solution that helps ensure the fluidity and responsiveness of mobile apps.

The companies have combined to provide an automated solution that tests mobile applications for UX optimisation.

GameBench has so far specialised in game testing. It provides UX performance and responsiveness tests to developers such as Samsung, ARM, Intel and Qualcomm.

TestPlant provides software testing solutions for digital business. Its eggPlant tools have been used by clients such as Wal-Mart, BT and Nationwide, according to the company.

“A frictionless UX gives users an impression of quality and keeps them engaged with your app and your digital business,” says Antony Edwards, CTO of TestPlant. “Thats why GameBench helps eggPlant users achieve greater quality.”

“A key element of UX is the smoothness of the app. Does scrolling judder? Do you get random pauses?” says Sri Kannan Iyer, CEO and co-founder of GameBench. “Even relatively basic experiences, such as scrolling through a catalogue of images, can grind to halt on high-end smartphones if they are not built and optimised correctly. That’s where GameBench comes in.”
