The AA (Automobile Association) has released four free iPhone apps: AA Hotel Guide, AA B&B Guide, AA Restaurant Guide and AA Caravan & Camping Guide Britain.
The AA has over 100 years’ experience in seeking out, assessing and recommending the best places to eat and stay in the UK, published annually in the AA Lifestyle Guides and now available for the iPhone.
The apps have been developed in partnership with Mobile Commerce, and feature over 1,000 restaurants, 2,650 B&Bs, 850 caravan and camping sites and more than 2,400 recommended hotels. Users can search around their current location when on the move or select a location of their choice to receive comprehensive listings of each establishment, including a detailed description, images, contact information, links to the establishment’s own website and online booking functionality where applicable. Users can also search by AA star rating or cuisine type. 
“The AA’s Lifestyle Guides are among our most popular books, and there really is a guide that suits everyone,” says David Watchus, manager of AA Publishing. “Bringing these guides to iPhone users is a natural next step, as the information available is invaluable when you are planning a trip or are out and about.”
