Paragon Software has announced the launch of a range of dictionaries from five linguistic companies, for Java-enabled mobiles and Blackberrys.
There are four Merriam-Webster dictionary wordbases: Collegiate (Americas most popular college dictionary), Medical, English-French and English-Spanish. Merriam-Webster dictionaries provide an extensive coverage of American English, French and Spanish regional dialects, rich examples of word usage and spelling, grammar information, common medical terms and abbreviations.
The pack of Oxford dictionaries, based on the quality and reputation of traditional English translation will help to improve language skills, says Paragon. Oxford Dictionaries is noted for its clear, concise definitions as well as its comprehensive and authoritative coverage of the vocabulary of the English-speaking world.
The Duden dictionaries pack contains four celebrated German dictionaries to get a comprehensive view of German language, from up-to-date vocabulary covering recently-added words, to business and technical language. Paragon says this suite will be particularly useful for language enthusiasts, and for all levels of German language learners.
The range also includes Harraps French Shorter Dictionary, an authoritative pocket reference of English and French for language beginners and professionals. It contains numerous entries and translations, English and French idioms, and treatment of colloquial and technical vocabulary.
Four essential German dictionaries forming the PONS dictionaries pack provide an overall translation from German into English, French, Spanish and Italian as well as information about the country, regions, people and culture. Each dictionary includes extensive entries, thousands of translations, different variants of word usage and spelling, technical terms and irregular verbs.
All the dictionaries offer rapid browsing; word translation in any grammatical word form, with the possibility to view the base form; a list of the 20 most-recently searched words; and a Word Variants option to check word spellings.
