TikTok Shop launches new ‘Preowned Luxury’ category

TikTok Shop has launched a pre-loved category on the app, in partnership with five second-hand luxury resellers.

As a result, users will now be able to shop second-hand designer items from Luxe Collective, Sellier Knightsbridge, Sign of the Times, Hardley Ever Worn It and Break Archive.

According to the social media giant, #prelovedfashion already generated over 62,000 creations, with the new feature assisting users to learn more about luxury fashion, find style inspiration and purchase items via the app.

TikTok Shop UK, Head of Operations, Jan Wilk, said: “This announcement is an exciting first step in the world of preowned fashion for TikTok Shop.

“TikTok Shop is already a leader when it comes to discovery-based commerce and with a vibrant fashion community thriving on TikTok, this provides a unique opportunity for retailers to reach new audiences and customers with an inspiring and accessible way to embrace luxury fashion.”

In a LinkedIn post, Luxe Collective CEO, Ben Gallagher said: “I’m so proud to announce that Luxe Collective Fashion are one of just five companies in the UK chosen by TikTok to launch pre loved luxury on TikTok Shop.

“This is a huge testament to the team over the years,” he added.

This launch will also enable preloved fashion brands to reach a whole new audience, as the TikTok community looks for more sustainable and accessible ways to embrace luxury fashion.
