TikTok has launched a new campaign in partnership with Team GB and Paralympics GB, as part of its ongoing It Starts on TikTok initiative.
To mark a summer of sports, the new campaign, channels the determination of athletes in embarking on new ventures and celebrates the fresh beginnings that the social media giant inspires.
The star-studded marketing effort showcases some of the UK’s most notable athletes, such as Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Heptathlete for Team GB; Lauren Steadman MBE, Paralympic Triathlete; Oliver Lam-Watson, Paralympic Fencer; and Delicious Orie, a Team GB Boxer .

According to the social media giant, the campaign aims to spotlight the remarkable stories and journeys of these athletes, illustrating how they use TikTok as a platform to motivate and inspire others.
TikTok, Sports Marketing Lead, Aoife Moran, said: “Every day, people come to TikTok and get inspired to try new things. We’ve seen how this moment of inspiration can snowball into something bigger and can change people’s lives.
“As we look ahead to the Olympics and Paralympics, we wanted to celebrate the power of community, creativity and athletic excellence, and show how our athletes’ journeys can inspire people to start something new and embrace their passions.”
The news comes as earlier this year TikTok was announced as the official partner of Team GB and Paralympics GB in the lead-up to Paris 2024.
The partnership aims to help Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes share their journeys, connect with new audiences and grow their fanbase via the social media platform.
