Timico Takes its Business ISP Service Mobile

Business ISP Timico has launched a Mobile Internet Service Provision unit to service the market for the management of smartphones and tablets in the business environment.

The company has also announced that it has partnered with Sybase to bring Sybase Afaria, a cloud-based mobile device management and security service, to the UK SMB (small and medium-sized businesses) market.

The company says that its MSIP, combined with Sybase Afaria, will provide SMBs with access to technology that was previously only affordable for much larger enterprises.

“The partnership with Sybase enables our SMB customers to confidently embrace ISP and cloud technologies and services, while having complete peace of mind that company data is safe and secure,” says Trefor Davies, co-founder and CTO of Timico.

Sybase Afaria enables Timico to provide Master Data Management (MDM) and Managed Desktop Service (MDS) features to businesses deploying mobile devices. It allows administrators to restrict or block internet use and enforce usage policies.

Timicos service can manage most smartphone OS systems, including Apples iOS, RIM, Android, and Windows Phone 7.
