Toys R Us Launches Transactional Site

Toys R Us has launched a transactional mobile site, built on hybris omnichannel commerce platform, which is also behind eCommerce on its website. The site was created with the help of neoworks, which developed and implemented the mCommerce solution behind it, and digital agency RedAnt, which developed the front-end user experience.

“We were the first bricks and mortar retailer in the UK to go online back in 1996, and since then we’ve made it our business to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to enhancing our customers’ experience with the latest technology,” says Toys ‘R’ Us Head of eCommerce Will White. “This mobile platform is a fundamental part of our commitment to omnichannel delivery – access to our products and promotions any time, anywhere. Our customers expect, and deserve, nothing less.”

The transactional mobile site, which also covers sister site Babies R Us, includes the option to purchase items for delivery, or reserving them to collect in store, with store stock availability information based on the user’s location. It also supports Toys R Us loyalty scheme, and QR code-driven purchasing.
