Digital marketing agency Metia has revealed that it is working on a free web app for rail commuters.
The web app, dubbed Trainhound, finds live train departure information based on the users location, and delivers it to mobile, tablet or desktop devices.
The app, which is currently in beta, finds your nearest station, and gives you live departure board information. It draws information from the National Rail Enquiries API, with platform and delay information. It also provides mapping information to guide you to your nearest station if you are in unfamiliar locations. 
The app runs on HTML5, so to use it on a desktop youll need to use IE9, Chrome, or Firefox. However, the company claims it will work on all smartphones.
