Enterprise productivity software maker Trimble has strengthened its position as a leader in the field-to-office mobility market with its acquisition of PocketMobile, a leading European mobile workforce solution firm.

PocketMobiles PreCom platform provides companies with a large, mobile work force with a scalable enterprise mobility solution that can cope with complex, information-heavy and time critical requirements. It enables users to efficiently build, configure and maintain mobile tools tailored to workflows, and seamlessly connects workers across a large network.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but PocketMobile will be reported as part of Trimbles mobile solutions segment, and the companys existing partner network of over 150 certified developers and system integrators will remain in place.
