TUI’s much-loved Christmas advert, Happy Holidays, is back for a second season, bringing Santa’s elves to sunny shores in a playful, heartwarming campaign.
The 60-second film, which was TUI’s first-ever Christmas advert, showcases the elves trading Lapland for a sun-soaked holiday.
Set to Ricky Martin’s iconic Livin’ La Vida Loca, the ad captures the mischievous joy of a TUI getaway, with the elves even ignoring a call from Santa himself.
This year, the advert is joined by a new addition: ‘Twas the Flight Before Christmas, an illustrated children’s book that expands on the storyline.
Created by TUI and creative agency Leo Burnett UK, the book imagines the elves’ post-Santa duties, following their adventures as they swap snow for sand on a holiday to Mallorca.
Written in rhyming prose, the story is designed to spark young imaginations, capturing moments of beachside fun, from sandcastle-building to relaxing in the sun. Illustrated by Leo Burnett’s senior creative team Matt Wood and Tom Loveless, the vibrant pages bring the magical holiday to life.
To share the festive cheer, TUI is distributing over 16,000 free copies of the book through its website and stores. Families can also order personalised editions featuring children’s names on the cover starting 3 December.
A Dutch version will be available for families in Belgium and the Netherlands.
