TuneWiki Launches on the iPhone

TuneWiki has launched an iPhone version of its location-based music app that helps users discover, share and buy music. The app launched on Android in May, and is also available to Symbian and BlackBerry users.

The TuneWiki app enables users to play and stream their music, listen to internet radio and buy songs from the Amazon music store. The app has racked up over 3.5m unique monthly users, and is currently experiencing 50 per cent month-on-month growth.

A feature called SongBox harnesses the musical tastes and listening habits of a global community of music lovers, aggregating the user’s favourite songs with other Tunewiki users worldwide. Users can tap into this network to look for recommendations from other music fans using the app’s geo-location feature. At any given time, users can find out the most popular songs that people are listening to in London, Los Angeles or their own neighbourhood. TuneWiki can also be synced with the user’s social media accounts.
