Twitch Rivals announces Honda as first auto partner

Twitch Rivals, a tournament series operated by the live streaming platform Twitch, has teamed up with automotive brand Honda.

As a result of the partnership, the Japanese car brand has become the tournament series’ first automotive partner.

Starting on 18 July, viewers will have the opportunity to customise a 2025 Honda Civic digitally via the streaming giant’s chat polls.

The final design will be showcased at TwitchCon 2024, held in San Diego from 20-22 September 2024.

The event will also host tournaments featuring a range of content creators, with past events including games like PUBG: Battlegrounds and Minecraft.

Honda, Media Strategy Manager, Megan Amic said: “Honda joining Twitch Rivals as the first-ever and exclusive automotive partner is an important next step in our growing relationship with the gaming community that kicked off more than 10 years ago.

“Honda’s new expanded partnership with Twitch Rivals will introduce our fun new fuel-efficient gateway vehicles, like the new 2025 Honda Civic hybrid, to GenZennial gaming fans.”
