Twitter Celebrates the Tweet Smell of Success

Twitter, Apple and Mfuse were among the winners in the Future Mobile Awards 2009, organised by Juniper Research to reward companies it feels have have made significant progress within their sector during the previous year, and are poised to make considerable market impact in the future.
The awards were granted by a panel of expert judges based on a number of criteria, including  innovation; customer retention; customer growth; commercial deployment; ease of use/user interface; revenue generation; pricing (for services/products); and capability/functionality.
Apple took the Gold award in the Future Mobile Games category for the combination of the iPhone 3G and the Apple App Store. The Silver Award went to Fishlabs. Apple also took Gold in the Future Mobile Music Category, with Shazam collecting Silver.
In the Future Mobile TV category, the Gold Award went to Telegent for its work on developing chipsets capable of receiving signals from terrestrial television networks at low power consumption. Silver went to ROK. In the Future Mobile UGC Services category, the Gold Award went to service-of-the-moment, Twitter, with mobile social networking site MocoSopace picking up Silver.
Mfuse took the Gold Award in the Future Mobile Gambling category following a succession of major contract successes during 2008, including significant deals with William Hill and Sky Bet. The Silver Award went to Spin3. Finally, in the Future Mobile Adult Services category, DisPlayBoy took Gold for its mobileABC full-service mobile adult market solution. Silver went to Cherrysauce.
