Txtlocal Launches Affiliate Programme

SMS marketing firm Txtlocal has launched an affiliate programme. The commission-based scheme is open to any of Txtlocals 30,000 existing customers and organizations or individuals looking for an additional income stream.
Affiliate partners can join the scheme by adding a Txtlocal banner or URL tracking code to a designated web page or email campaign, linking back to the Txtlocal website. Any customers referred to Txtlocal via the banner or URL code are tagged with a unique customer ID. If this customer then goes on to purchase any text bundles from Txtlocal, the referring affiliate will receive revenue on the first purchase, and on all subsequent purchases.
Txtlocal notes that as a digital medium, affiliate marketing is growing in its use, particularly at a time when more businesses are looking for low-risk strategies to deliver additional returns. According to a Q3 2009 IPA report, digital marketing spend has increased by 4.5%, whereas more traditional media such as print and advertising have experienced cuts.
Founded in 2005, Txtlocal provides mobile marketing services to over 30,000 organisations, including Intel, Dominos, Subway, Nationwide Building Society and Malmaison Hotels.
