Txtlocal Slashes Shared Shortcode Price

Mobile marketing firm txtlocal has cut its shared Shortcode (60777) price by 66% in a bid to make mobile marketing more affordable to small businesses hit by the current economic downturn. The company says the  move is paying off, with a number of existing clients upgrading their service to include a Shortcode.
Shortcodes are principally associated with TV and radio broadcasters running text-to-win competitions and voting initiatives aimed at viewers and listeners. But Txtlocal says it aims to change the perception that Shortcodes are only for big businesses by targeting SMEs and educating them on the benefits of mobile marketing for lead generation and customer service activities.
A Shortcode can be set up within 24 hours and by publishing it on all marketing material, websites and adverts, businesses give customers the opportunity to opt-in to their contact database. This in turn gives businesses highly qualified customer and prospect data to send sales promotions.
From a price perspective, we want mobile marketing to be affordable to all SMEs and public sector organisations, from local chip shops to churches, charities and councils, says Txtlocal Director, Alastair Shortland. Its a low cost tool that can help organisations generate new leads quickly and easily.
A Txtlocal Shortcode 60777 is now available for a setup fee of 50, with the ongoing operating fee starting from 25 per month.
