Uber Advertising expands to Manchester

Uber’s advertising division in the UK has announced the opening of its new office in Manchester.

Since its UK launch two years ago and surpassing its $1 billion global revenue target ahead of schedule, Uber Advertising is deepening its investment in the UK market.

With Manchester being the second largest media-buying city in Britain, the new office will act as a regional hub to address both national and local demand, furthering Uber’s goal of connecting UK consumers with advertisers.

Denise Breslin, UK&I Sales Lead, will lead the development of the Manchester office, focusing on recruiting talent and expanding Uber’s presence in the market.

Paul Wright, Head of Uber Advertising International, said: “The opening of our Manchester office is a testament to the success of Uber’s advertising business in the UK in its first two years, and demonstrates our continued investment in critical UK media-buying centres such as Manchester.

“This regional hub will help us meet demand, enhancing our ability to support and service both national and Manchester-based clients with Uber’s advertising solutions.”

Wavemaker Manchester’s Partnerships Director commented: “Working with Uber has been seamless. From an initial meeting where we were impressed by their marketing collateral and team member enthusiasm to quick, concise, and insightful responses to our brief, the team has provided ample support during production phases and activation.

“We look forward to working with them on the next campaign and continue to drive consumer engagement and outcomes.”
