Uber Eats has been given a redesign to improve the experience for customers. Part of the upgrade includes improved tracking, giving the user a clearer idea of how their order is progressing at every stage from confirmation right up until delivery.
There’s also an estimated time of delivery on the screen, adding even more transparency to the delivery process, while the step-by-step updates are accompanied by animations to add some colour to your wait.
Furthermore, the added transparency comes with clearer details about what’s going on with an order that’s been delayed or cancelled, and the user is able to contact the courier before they pick up the order. On top of this, Uber says it is working on making it easier to reach support via call or chat.
The updates have rolled out in 16 cities around the world on Android, iOS, and mobile web, and will be introduced to the rest of the markets that the company serves ‘in the coming months’.
