Unilever to Speak at Mobile Marketing Live

Jay Altschuler, director, global media at Unilever is the latest senior digital marketer to sign up to speak at Mobile Marketing Live in London on 3 October.

In a live, on-stage interview, Altschuler will outline the FMCG giant’s approach to mobile, explaining when and why the company first started looking at mobile as a marketing channel; what it has done in the space; how it decides which of its many brands mobile is appropriate for; and looking at differences in approach geographically across the countries in which Unilever operates.

Also confirmed to speak this week is Matt Kelly, managing director of Sol361, which delivers strategy and services to newspaper groups. He will address the challenges facing newspaper owners as they try to migrate their content to mobile, and at the same time monetise it. Deutsche Telekom (DT) will also be speaking at the event. The senior developer evangelist from DT’s Developer Garden developer ecosystem will take delegates on a whistle-stop tour of M2M (machine-to-machine) innovations.

In addition to Unilever, Sol361 and DT, other companies speaking at Mobile Marketing Live include Tesco, Domino’s, Johnson& Johnson, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Forrester, Barclays, UBS, Mastercard and FT.com.

The event has also attracted two new sponsors this week. Mobile5 and Widespace have both signed up as Silver Sponsors for the event. Mobile5 is a mobile creative agency that developes and activates strategies to maximise mobile across bought and earned media. Widespace is a premium mobile advertising networks that helps publishers and app developers monetize mobile apps and sites.
