Upstream, the global mobile marketing solutions provider, has been confirmed as the Platinum Sponsor for Mobile Marketing’s Effective Mobile Marketing Awards 2011. The company was the sole sponsor of last year’s inaugural Awards and, according to CEO Alex Vratskides, had no hesitation in backing this year’s programme.
The Awards’ objective of recognising mobile marketing campaigns which have had a demonstrable business impact is closely aligned with Upstream’s own focus on effectiveness, as underlined by its unique, performance-driven business model. Since its inception in 2001, the company’s mantra has been to speak less, but with more impact. Using its Marketing Communications Suite (MCS) platform, Upstream has executed more than 160,000 campaigns in over 40 countries, delivering unparalleled conversion rates and over $500m of incremental revenue for its clients in the process.
The call for entries for this year’s Awards will be issued in the next few weeks, with the awards ceremony taking place at Delfina in London on 3 November, 2011.
“Effectiveness is the bedrock of everything we do at Upstream,” says Vratskides. “For us to put our name to an Awards program that rewards the most effective mobile marketing work out there was an easy decision to make. The standard of entries was exceptionally high last year, and we are confident that this year will be even better, as brands fine-tune their mobile marketing campaigns, and learn what works best.”
Mobile Marketing editor David Murphy says: “We are thrilled to have Upstream on board once again. The company took a leap of faith in sponsoring the inaugural Awards last year; their involvement this year is a sign that they made the right decision. There’s an obvious synergy between the theme of effectiveness running through these Awards, and the way in which Upstream itself operates, on a payment-by-results basis. We thank them for their continued support.”
