Mobile marketing and solutions company Upstream has appointed Vu Nguyen to its sales team. Nguyen joins the company as senior vice president of global sales. 

Prior to Upstream, Nguyen was executive vice president and head of global sales at Telmap, a white-labelled location-based solutions and services company for mobile operators. At Telmap, Nguyen managed sales operations in EMEA, the Americas and Asia-Pacific, as well as all sales strategies for new business areas, including mobile advertising and premium services.

He has also held executive management roles at RIM and Sony Ericsson – he secured the latter companys first 3G mobile network contract in North America.
