Urban Airship and Twilio have partnered in order to leverage Twilio’s SMS and MMS capabilities for distributing mobile wallet campaigns created in Urban Airship's Wallet Studio.
Twilio's messaging platform enables businesses to use standard and toll-free phone numbers and short codes to communicate with all mobile customers – and through the partnership, these messages can now contain links and images to Urban Airship digital wallet campaigns that can be saved to Apple Passbook and Google Wallet.
Wallet Studio features a drag-and-drop interface for designing coupons, using out-of-the-box templates, plus the ability to port campaigns between Passbook and Google Wallet and deliver campaigns through Urban Airship’s push notifications, in-app messaging services and, now, SMS and MMS.
